Shahs of Sunset

I recently hopped on to the new Bravo "reality" TV show, Shahs of Sunset bandwagon. I hate myself for succumbing to it, but what are you going to do. Needless to say, I'm addicted. Like most reality TV it's ridiculous, but in a classy, chic way.

The Persian-Americans living in Beverly Hills are way too entertaining not to watch. I'm not even sure why or how they are so filthy rich, but it makes me angry. They're the perfect people you love to hate. Especially the female characters who are still supported by their dad. And I will admit it is pretty funny at times. I guess you could say they're the richer, cleaner, hairier, and Middle Eastern version of Jersey Shore. But almost better than Jersey Shore. Same concept, a group of people who look and act the same, do dumb things, and fight over nothing. People still need to be slapped, and most of the time you're thinking, "What. In. The. World?"

I think I love it because as a person of Middle Eastern decent it's poking fun at the culture and it's fun to see a culture similar to mine on national television.

Good times, but totally ridiculous. Makes for good entertainment.

Tupac hologram

This past week the music video containing a hologram of the long gone rapper, Tupac Shakur, went viral. It was a pretty clever idea, actually. Two other rappers, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg had a non-3D illusion of Tupac performing with them.

An MSN entertainment article said that many were appalled at the sight of the legendary, but dead rapper, dancing alongside his fellow artists, but I think for most Tupac fans it was a feel good moment. Afeni Shakur, Pac's mother, gave permission to use the footage in exchange for a gracious donation to her son's charity. The idea may be used on a larger scale for touring purposes and Tupac may have the chance to perform on the big stage again and fans may have another opportunity to see him.

Rihanna is High?

Pop star Rhianna has been known to be involved in contreversey and this story is no different. There are pictures of her smoking something out of a brown paper at a concert. Many believe she was smoking weed at the Coachella concert. What's worse is some sites report that there is a white substance in the paper which could be crushed pills or cocaine. Rhianna posted on Twitter this morning " I'm crazy, and I don't pretend to be anything else."

She must feel she has nothing to hide. Most would agree. She is not different from anybody else (pop star or not). There have been many famous celebrities caught smoking weed and doing other drugs throughout the years so this doesn't really come as a surprise. Or maybe she recently started smoking and thats why shes gotten back with Chris Brown. Check on all the paparazzi websites for more information, because you know they will be following her to get as much out of this story as possible.

Howard Stern on America's Got Talent

    Love him or hate him, Howard Stern has become one of the most successful entertainers of all time. Since 1975, he has been considered the "king of all media," and his show has remained the most popular radio show in history. Throughout his career, Stern has been a radio host, best selling author, and film star. But it's his latest project that is getting a lot of attention at NBC.

    Stern will be the new host of America's Got Talent, airing this May on NBC. According to Howie Mandel (another host on the show) this season is a "must see." Thousands of Stern's fans have been lining the streets of New York each day to attend the tapings. During the beginning of the tapings, it was rumored that the other judges were not getting along with Stern, but Howie Mandel set the record straight on TMZ by saying that he loved working with Howard, and that Howard and his fans have brought an incredible new energy to the show. However, even though the arrival of Stern has created a new level of excitement, there are still many people who question NBC's decision. 

    I personally think picking Howard Stern to host America's Got Talent has been one of the best decisions NBC has made in years. NBC hasn't had a major television hit since shows like Seinfeld and Friends, but I predict America's Got Talent could become one of the most watched shows on television. I understand certain people think he might be too vulgar to host the show, but Howard isn't stupid. He knows what he's doing, and I think he will surprise a lot of people and turn out to be a great judge. 

    The season premiere of America's Got Talent will air on May 14. I've never watched this show, but I will definitely be watching this season.

The Simpsons

It has finally been revealed after 22 years! Where is Springfield? It is in Oregon. The longest-running American sitcom has been hiding the location of town for so long. The Simpsons creator Matt Groening never revealed exactly where it was because he knew that Springfield was one of the most famous names for a city and he wanted all his viewers to think it was their hometown. The show even has a running joke on keeping it hidden, for example, Lisa points to Springfield on a map, but the animated "camera view" is blocked by son Bart's head.

There are some signs that show that Springfield is in Oregon such as in the opening credits of the show there is the same couch as in the Springfield Museum in Oregon. Although some of the stuff that happens in The Simpsons doesn't happen in the real Springfield, they still base it off the town. Now many fans in Oregon may be happy whereas all the other Springfield fans may be disappointed. Was this a good idea from the creator? Of course it was...IT'S A CARTOON!

As I opened up my web browser to Yahoo! to check my email an article caught my eye. JLO's extravagant gift to her 25 year old boyfriend.

What? Hold. Up. Rewind.

JLo is dating a 25 year old? And, she bought her beau a new car. Well, yea, parents buy their kids cars for their birthdays, what difference is it if JLo buys her little baby boyfriend a new car? I just think it's weird that she is dating a guy who is only four years older than me. This whole cougar thing is still new to me. I don't like it. Is this guy ready to be a father of twins? I'm just sayin'.

Breaking Bad

    The final season of Breaking Bad is set to return sometime in July, but fans are upset over the decision to split the final season into two parts. Fans were hoping for a final 16 episode season, but the final season will now be split into two parts, each consisting of 8 episodes. The network wants to divide the final season so it has a strong summer drama airing this year and next. The show would also be eligible for two award seasons rather than one.

    For those who aren't familiar with Breaking Bad, it's by far one of the best shows on television. I'm a huge fan, and I cant wait for the final season to return. I'm not that upset over the news that the final season will be split because, not only was I expecting it, but I'm glad there's two more years of Breaking Bad left rather than one.


    For anyone that wants to get all caught up on Breaking Bad before the final season airs, the first 3 seasons are available on Netflix, and the fourth season is available on Project Free TV.
